“You can’t love somebody until you love yourself." Sure we know about the importance self-love, but how do you build that self-love, and how does its presence or lack thereof impact every area of your life?

After 10 years of experiential and academic research and experimentation, Daniel Packard, Trainer of Love Athletes, has built a very precise, clear model of the mechanics of self-love.  This 'Science of Self-Love' he created gives a clear and practical understanding of how self-love works, and how to build self-love on a daily basis.

Do you typically feel melancholy around the holidays, a missing loved one, or thinking about a lack of love or companionship?
Do you like to call folks at the top of the new year and re-connect? You might not want to wait until then.
Do you scroll through posts and tell yourself, "I gotta call her soon" or "I need to hit him up and check and see how s/he's doing?", and then months go by without meaningful contact?

Chronic loneliness is a real problem for thousands of us-- more than a personal problem. As of 2012, more than 1/4 of U.S. households are one-person households. While there's nothing wrong with living alone, the consequences of inadequate personal connections are a serious public health problem, as my guest Dr. J. W. Freiberg explains in this podcast episode.

Humans are naturally resilient beings, but what causes some to rise to repeated challenges, and others to shrink? In this episode, John K. Coyle, one of the world's leading design thinking experts, takes his innovation expertise and applies it to some of life's larger questions. He introduces a new model of resiliency, one where proactive challenges are designed to build capacity for ever-greater performance under pressure and adversity, and where focusing on strengths and mindfulness creates increased capacity to perform at even higher levels under stress.

Kerry Washington is famous for not discussing the personal details of her life--including the marriage to her current husband, and her following pregnancies.

Imagine my surprise when I received strange texts after announcing my private wedding ceremony and changing my relationship status on Facebook.

In a world of TMI, it's ok to keep your private life private and not invite input on your major life decisions. You are not obligated to solicit them or share your personal business with the world.
