Britany Felix, host of the Living Unconventionally podcast, has been married to her college sweetheart for 10 years and together, they have endured difficult times, but still have found ways to let those difficulties only strengthen their bond. In this episode she shares what she's learned from the ups and downs of love with her one and only, both before and after marriage.

In this podcast we discuss:

  • What to do when your friend has feelings for the one you're in love with
  • How to decide whether to commit to a long-distance relationship
  • Communicating with your partner during financial hardships
  • Getting along with each other despite opposite personality types

As an athlete, you know that if you put the work in, something better will happen.  That applies to love too.

Daniel Packard, Trainer of Love Athletes says that you can have more love if you want and are willing to work on yourself. The biggest issue is often related to self-worth. Daniel explains how to move from being a love amateur to a love athlete, and how to understand your true worthiness factor (it may not be the same as the "I am worthy" or other mantras made popular in culture).

Do you have too much stuff? Are you addicted to shopping (Amazon anyone)?

I decided to peer behind the veil of minimalism, which Lori Rochino, Declutter Coach describes as the concept of living with less stuff in order to enjoy more, and living more intentionally with the people who matter most. It's a way to counteract the overwhelm people feel with consumerism and digital overload.

Listen to this podcast to learn why:
  • you can't let go of things
  • you always want more things but don't feel satisfied once you get them
  • what to do about it!
